For Your Best Friend Spay Coalition (FYBF) is a privately funded free spay and neuter clinic serving residents of the City of Elsa as well as the greater Rio Grande Valley. The clinic also offers additional basic veterinary services to help keep your pets healthy, happy and safe, including low cost vaccinations and microchipping. FYBF, in partnership with the City of Elsa and all of you, strive to reduce the local stray population and in doing so, help improve the quality of life for all dogs and cats in the RGV.

Spay and neuter services for dogs and cats are free of charge. Vaccinations and microchipping are also available for a minimal fee with opportunities for the services to be no charge if you qualify.

Appointments for spay and neuter services are scheduled on a first come first service basis with priority being offered to individuals who can show proof of residency in the City of Elsa.

At this time we are not requiring any deposits to secure a space on the spay and neuter waitlist.

We serve all dogs and cats! In fact, the more stray dogs we spay/neuter, the faster we can manage the stray population in the RGV.

Of course. Our website and appointment requests are all bilingual and many of our staff and volunteer staff are fluent in Spanish as well. At this time we do not have any services to help those who cannot transport their pets directly to us but please check back as we are in the process of finding a better way to serve you in regards to this need.
